Simple, automatic,
always watching
CarRecall runs in the background so you don't have to think about it. Here's exactly what happens from the moment you sign up.
You enter your reg and email
Just your UK registration plate and an email address. No account, no password, no V5C needed. We look up your vehicle against the official DVSA recall database the moment you submit.
We confirm your subscription
You'll receive a confirmation email within a few minutes showing your vehicle details and its current recall status. If there's already a recall open — we flag it. If the vehicle is clear — we tell you that too.
We monitor your vehicle daily
Every day, CarRecall automatically checks your vehicle registration against the DVSA recall database. We compare what's live today against what was there yesterday. If nothing has changed, we do nothing — no spam, no noise.
You get alerted the moment a recall appears
If a new recall is issued for your vehicle, we email you immediately with the recall reference, a plain-English description of the fault, and what to do next. No jargon, no delay.
Powered by official DVSA data
CarRecall uses the official DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) vehicle recalls API — the same data source used by the government's own recall checker at gov.uk/check-vehicle-recall.
This means every recall we alert you to is official, verified, and issued by the manufacturer. We don't scrape third-party sources or guess — if DVSA has it, we have it.
CarRecall is an independent service and is not affiliated with DVSA, DVLA, or any vehicle manufacturer.
